I made this Civic for a virtual car show I hosted a couple of months ago this year. The event is supposed to be set in LA in 2004, and this is my entry. Of course I didn't participate in the show itself, but it would be a shame if I didn't bring a car myself. So here it is, a 1987 Honda Civic with a couple of unique parts. The car is sitting on Enkei Wun Guns (The RWD Face version of them) wrapped in BF Goodrich Scorcher TAs. Right behind them to stop the car is a full set of brakes taken off a 97 Civic Type R.
While the front has been kept simple with a Wings West style bumper and some PIAA 959s, the rear has a VIS rear bumper with a Mohr 112mm exhaust. Mohr was a German Honda tuner known for their gigantic exhausts (they sound great too!).
As you see, this post isn't just about the car. I've modelled the location too, which most of you should recognize. Located between Center Street & 7th Street in LA's Fashion district are the warehouses made famous as the street racing car meet spot from The Fast And The Furious. While I personally don't care about the movies (ironic if you know what I do), I always loved the concrete valley as a location for a car meet. The entire environment was modelled within under a week and with a low poly count (around 15k). The winner of the best of show winner won the 3D model of the environment.
